Calculator
2026 mileage calculator.
The IRS changed the standard mileage rate mid-year: 72.5¢ per business mile through June 30, 2026, and 76¢ from July 1.
How it’s worked out
(Jan–Jun miles × $0.725) + (Jul–Dec miles × $0.76)
Example: 4,000 miles before July and 5,000 after: $2,900.00 + $3,800.00 = $6,700.00
Only business miles count. Driving from home to your first stop and back is usually commuting and doesn’t count; see Publication 463.
